Stir-fried Broccoli with Chicken


I love broccoli. FYI, broccoli helps with weight loss as it is a negative calorie food.Negative calorie food requires the more energy to digest food. It provides very few calories, and the body may use up more energy to digest them than it gains. The result is a net calorie deficit. Good huh?!

Stir-fried Broccoli with Chicken

Preparation time: 15 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins
Serves 2-4

Ingredients:

I head broccoli, cut into florets
1 can halved straw mushrooms
1 carrot, thinly sliced
1 onion, thinly sliced
2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
2 tsps oil
2 tbs light soy sauce
2 tbs oyster sauce
a little pepper for seasoning
2 tsps sesame seeds, toasted

Directions:

1. Steam broccoli until just tender.




2. Heat oil in a large pan. Add onions and stir-fry until soft and transparent. Add chicken and stir-fry until chicken are just cooked. Now, mix in the straw mushrooms. Add in the sauces and seasoning and mix well. Add in the broccoli and carrots and stir-fry until heated through.


3. Serve stir-fry sprinkled with sesame seeds.

Voila! A healthy lunch in just 25 minutes.
